In part of his efforts to re-open his State’s economy, Ohio Governor DeWine announced Extended Car Warranty calls could resume June 1st…with restrictions.
After careful consideration of random restrictions in consultation with Her Majesty, Dr Amy Acton a list of requirements to resume robo calls has been released.
“We believe these restrictions will balance getting people back in their routine of receiving Extended Warranty robocalls, and protecting the public’s health, or at the very least give the appearance we are doing so”, said the Governor.
The restrictions:
- All calls must be spaced out by 6 minutes minimum.
- Robo call voice must use a digital mask filter to create a voice that sounds like it is behind a mask.
- Anyone answering the call must put on a mask before pressing 1, or hanging on to speak to an operator.
- Whenever possible consumers should switch phone to speaker when receiving call and stand 6 feet from phone, you just never know.
“I trust the people of Ohio to follow these guidelines, and with our efforts, we can all be in this together for 10 years, or 10,000 miles”, he said.
